Christmas in Vegas '16
My parents and I have always gone to Vegas for Christmas. We usually go to my Grandparents' house on the 24th and exchange presents and then head to Vegas early Christmas day. This year was Nick's inaugural "Asian Christmas".
I honestly can't count how many times I have been to Vegas and each time, we end up finding something new to explore.
First stop of our trip was the 7 Magic Mountains located 15 or so miles south of the Strip. Nick and my dad weren't too impressed. I thought it was neat, a bunch of colored rocks stacked in the middle of the desert, how is that not interesting?
Originally we were going to go eat at Studio B Show Kitchen buffet at the M Resort Spa Casino because we heard it was one of the best buffets that Vegas had to offer. Unfortunately the wait was over two hours long so we ended up eating at the Venetian's Grand Lux cafe instead.
My little cousins, Becky and Ricky, joined us for dinner.
After dinner, Nick really wanted to try White Castle since last year we went to Shake Shack instead. He was determined to try White Castle even though we had barely ate less than an hour ago.
It was a waste of money. I mean I'm sure it tastes amazing after a drunken night of clubbing, but we weren't drunk for it to give us that satisfaction.
Monday, December 26th
Had breakfast with my Uncle, Aunt, Becky, and Ricky this morning before we headed to the outlets.
I was running on a few hours of sleep and was exhausted but knew that I wanted to take a picture in front of the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty replicas since Nick and I went to both places this year. So Nick and I took an Uber from Mandalay Bay to Paris Las Vegas.
Nick and I definitely appreciated seeing Vegas's version of the Arc de Triomphe since it was the first famous landmark that we saw when we first arrived in Paris exactly two months ago.
Next stop: New York-New York hotel. Nick and I grabbed dessert from Shake Shack and ended up exploring the hotel's new The Park area.
Good night, Vegas!
